The CBTU Distinction Awards, presented at our annual legislative conference, recognize and honour industry leaders who have made significant contributions to their fields. There are three awards: Workforce Development, Health and Safety, and a Special Award of Distinction.

• Workforce Development: recognizes the contributions the individual and/or organization has made to workforce development in the previous year in areas of Apprenticeship, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and/or Innovation.
• Health & Safety: recognizes the contributions the individual and/or organizations has made to health and safety in the previous year.
• Special Award of Distinction: recognizes the contributions the individual and/or organization in service years/outstanding contribution to labour movement.

Applications and nominations for our distinction awards are opened annually following the conclusion of our legislative conference.
