With 42,000 skilled trades jobs anticipated annually, this moment provides a critical opportunity to strengthen Canada\u2019s unionized construction workforce while delivering the essential infrastructure Canadians need. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are committed to seeing through the implementation of Community Employment Benefit Agreements, which were introduced in Budget 2025. By leveraging these agreements, we will ensure these investments create real opportunities for apprentices, Indigenous workers, women, newcomers, and other underrepresented groups while maximizing local economic benefits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
